I need a stock LT1 Dyno graph

And when I say stock, I mean off the showroom floor, stock.

If you changed the air filter, I can't use it.

I need to see a real graph.

I am running a '96 Trans AM in a road racing series called Camaro Mustang Challenge. The rules are very strict and one of the limitations I have is 230 rwhp ... no it isn't a typo ... 230 rwhp and is dyno verified.

The motor has to be restricted so that all platforms of Mustang and F-Body are competitive. I know it sucks, but the 4thg en is so far superior in all the other aspects that it shouldn't be a huge deal ... I hope.

The problem is, there aren't that many 4th gens in the series and there is virtually no historical data to confirm the graph that we lay down.

So, I need a dyno graph of someone's car, giving showroom stock information. Any year model is OK.

Thanks

So, whats really done to your bone stock car

BTW: This is both good and bad, but I think it would be kinda hard to find a LT1 with 230rwhp or under, even stock. Seems kinda low I guess.

Re: I need a stock LT1 Dyno graph

Like I said, we have to restrict the motor and dyno verify it. and by restrict, a restrictor plate is inserted between the throttle body and intake.

SCCA has been doing it for years in T2

I'm not looking for a graph of an LT1 that only puts out 230rwhp. Don't misread my request. Looking for a bone stock graph so that the curve can be used, not necessarily the numbers

I got one that's close, since I moved up to this sky-high altitude, but I would think if you posted your request in places with high altitude it wouldn't be hard to do.

I watched a stock '94 TA here with only a cat-back exhaust put down 194 hp at the wheels.

So, did the 96/97 version of the bone stock LT1 put down significantly more power than the 93-95?

Why? What did GM do to cause that?

No, they should be similar. Compstall is refferring to dyno's without SAE correction. Since the car he is refferring to is at high altitude it does not make the power that a sea level car would. That is what the SAE correction is for. No way did that car put down 194 rwhp with SAE correction. A stock lt1 6spd witll be in the 255-265rwhp range. Autos are probably 240-255rwhp.

230rwhp???....... That'd be pretty low even for a bone stock LT1 A4.

I dyno'd 240 actual at the ground here, but 296 corrected, which is right on the money compared to dyno's I've had at near sea-level when I lived in Tacoma, WA.

I lost 54 hp and 64 lbs. of torque at the wheels after I moved here.

Boy, I'd like to see how mine would run at sea level then. Up here in the Denver area it seems sluggish for a V8.

What altitude are you at? We're typically between 7,000-8,000 DA here. I lost 19% of my power.

It's a restricted limit ... a restrictor plate is installed between the TB and the intake, kind of like how NASCAR uses one between the carb and the intake.

Remember, we are competing aginst Mustangs, so the F-Body has to be slowed WAY down in order for them to be competitive.
