I need pushrods/lifters for LT4 hot cam...

I completely realize that it is not completely necessary to replace these. My little brother has right at 100K on hit LT1. He just wants to upgrade these for peace of mind and just in case. I did use the search feature, but never really got a concrete answer.

Apparently the stock size pushrod will work fine on the LT4 HC. So what size are the stock pushrods? Where is a good place to get them (Summit, Jegs, online place)? He wants to get just hardened not the chromoly ones.

Apparently it is cheaper to buy aftermarket lifters rather than replace the stock ones. The only ones that were ever mentioned in any of the search posts were Comp Cams 850-16 lifters or some type of Lingenfelter lifters. Is the comp cams one alright to use with the HC? If so, where to order them at?

Thanks guys

Ok, you can get a nice set of hardened ones from comp cam for 40 bones, a awesome deal.

Lifters are kinda pricey, I would only change them if they were showing signs of wear.

Did he change the valve springs??? The stock ones aren't strong enough for that cam.

Depending on year, he may already have hardened pushrods. Roll them lengthwise, if they roll smoothly, chances are they are o.k.
