Question I need help, where does this go?

I pulled my water pump about a week ago.I'm in the process of putting it back on.I get to the air pump.Right behind the air pump is a small box mounted on the egr tube with a 2 wire connector and what appears to be a vacuum hose coming out of it.Where dose this vacuum hose go?I removed the old pump in the dark with only a flashlight(always a good idea) so I need some help.Right now my brain and this hose are pissing on the wheels of progress. This is the first time i've actually had to work on egr/a.i.r crap so i'm a little lost. It's a 96t/a.The hose is about 5in long and is 5/32.

Per this page, it looks like a purge valve.

Just to clarify, the AIR system and the EGR system are completely separate (except for some common plumbing on the 93's). There is no EGR tube near the AIR pump. The EGR system is totally on the back of the intake manifold, with riser tube from the #8 exhaust runner.

Yeah my mistake, like I said this is the first time I have worked on this system. Thanks for the diagram that cleared everything up for me.The fact that it says recall on the top of the page made me feel not as retarded. That explains why I had two hoses and only one port to put them in.
