There's nothing wrong with the bottle Is your car bone stock? or modified? The only thing necessary is a tune up with 1 step colder plugs. Make sure you're fuel filter is relatively new and that the pump is supplying good pressure. It would be nice to up the injectors since its a dry shot. I don't know what the kit you're planning on running includes but I always recommend a fuel pressure safety switch. Knock retard at the low of a hp level is debatable. I ran a 125 wet with no retard and pump 92 and didnt have any problems but I kept a close eye on detonation. But mainly keep the tune fresh and the car should be fine.

You should be able to just bolt it on and go.
Change out the platinum plugs if you have them.
I've been using a 150 shot dry with no retard.

150 shot here.... wet... all day on a stock car with a stock tune.

Before the h/c.... when the h/c is done it will still have a 150 shot on it, just have to worry about the tranny a little more. hah

With my NX 150 shot (with far below their recommended bottle pressure) my car dropped 1.4 seconds and trapped 16mph higher in the 1/4.

Look at what just a 50 shot dry does for me! Half of the reason is the fact that I ran it with the stock converter and it helped me get out of the hole a bunch.

Im sorry, but there is no way that a 50 shot, not even a NX 50 shot, gained you 8mph and dropped you almost a full second. I just can't believe that.... it's prolly a 75 shot.

I understand what you mean. It's easy to want to go back to the bottle...but you must be a man and stick to cups. You might try a sipper cup if you find the transition difficult.

The one thing to keep in mind when thinking a the bottle is cheaper are reoccuring refill costs. Researching things and just plain being not stupid will go a long ways to being safe with N20.

Re: i know its wrong but i want the bottle

If he purges and shoots off the line you'd be surprised.

I ran a 125 wet shot on a bolt on car with a cc305 cam and 3.73 rear gears and vigilantee and ran a best of 11.73 @ 116.85 mph. Without purging I allways only ran 12.20s on the same set-up, but after I added a purge solonoid and hit it off the line it imroved things significantly. I still want to put the juice on my 383.

Actually yeah, I can see that, I have never purged my system before running, or had the correct amount of bottle pressure. Because I didn't have and still donty have a purge and I haven't put in my bottle heater yet.

Re: i know its wrong but i want the bottle

You'll see a massive gain purging the system and having proper bottle pressure.

Re: i know its wrong but i want the bottle

If I plug in the numbers on Drag 2000, it says that I am netting about 55 hp to the wheels from the 50 shot. I do purge, and I do hit it right after hook-up. My 1/8 th mile time is 7.91, 60 foot was 1.73. I backed up the 12.25 with a 12.33 @ 111 the same night. Bottle pressure was just a hair over 1000 lbs. I have no reason to lie about this. Believe me, I was shocked at the improvement. This same nitrous set up was on my 1996 Neon which ran a 14.86 @ 93 with a turbo muffler and asp underdrive. The Neon ran 16.88 before the bottle. The stuff works - it's immediate torque. Like I said in an earlier post, the dramatic change was basically in the launch.
