i have a question about headers installation

i have been searching all morning and cant find something on this. i bought a set of used hooker LTs and i need to know, can i use the stock bolts to install them?. i am trying a trick my dad used in his past that worked. he said to use two sets of gaskets on the headers, so that when tightened, the gasket workes like a spring and pushes out harder. he laso stated that after he did this, he blew out less header gaskets. so hay, ill try it wiht fel-pros.

also does anyone have the part # for the O2 extensions?

DONT use two gaskets, makes more places to leak.Use Felpro #1406 header gasket.I would buy some ARP bolts too.

The stock bolts may not be long enough. Get either some ARP header bolts or some Stage 8 locking header bolts.

I second the motion on the Fel-Pro 1406 header gaskets too. Only one set is needed, they work great.

I'm running Breslin split-locks stainless, 1" long header bolts. In the three weeks since I put the headers on the car, not one has backed out, and not one single leak at the head. They were expensive, but IMO not having to go back and check them every week is a blessing.
