Unhappy I found another oil leak!!

So I do my own oil change right... I jacked her up and get under her... I see oil leaking, the oil pan is covered with it. I look around and the engine block is clean and the oil only begins right at the sensor above the oil drain bolt. I made sure nowhere else.

I checked to see if the sensor is tight... ITS TIGHT! just like my g....errr never mind... anyway the sensor (oil level sending unit I believe) is pretty much frozen tight. I coud not move it for anything.

Anyone had this problem before?? I had to finish with my oil change anyways so I will not fix it till my next change.

The sensor firm in its location but the oil starts there so no question about where the leak starts.... has anyone had this problem before?? I found it very strange that this sensor would leak oil... there is no oil presure in that area...

anyone got a part number for it? is it expensive? I havent checked with our local parts stores because they do no have
replacements for the IAT, Throttle Plates Gaskets, IAC, so in General they suck.... where can I get a new sensor for cheap?

Theres a gasket I think that goes into the oil pan before the sensor goes in, maybe it comes with the sensor. If you get another one, they make one that allows you to unplug the harness from it easier, can't remember where though

I had to replace mine a couple months ago because it was also leaking. I got mine from the local dealership. I think it cost like $25-$30.

Thanks for your replys. Guys I really think if the sensor itself begins to leak then its of very poor manufacturing quality. There is no oil pressure there. Logically I can assume there is a lot more wear and tear at the injectors than at this pasive sensor.
If someone would tell me its because the heat, I would just roll my eyes. That part should be manufactured to hande the heat.

I will try to find a replacement gasket and try it. if it still leaks then I will buy a new sensor... anyone know the part number?

thanks
