Dave, I totally hear you on that! I just did cam/heads, which took me 8 days at the Hobby Shop. It's great to have access to all that stuff, but difficult to get things done because people who work there and other people are always bugging you. I'm telling you, it was all worth it when I fired my car up after the cam/heads work and ALL heads in the shop turned my way!

 

like I said before, I'm almost bone stock, but when I fired it up without the y-pipe, I had people half way across the base asking me what I had in it. "They should have been asking what I didn't have in it" (y-pipe)

 

you should realy get on it with out a y pipe its great. i ran mine for about a half hour without one. just make sure nothing is hanging infront of the manifold and you will be allright plus you want to go up to at least 5500 6000rpm. i also ran my car with long tubes and notheing else for a week the noise is great but you get sick of it.
