i can't figure it out i think its the VATS

Ok guys a buddy of mine gave me a set of l1t injectors and it worked. my injectors were the problem. so now it starts it turns on with the first turn of the key. but it only stays on for like 3 or 4 seconds if that. could that be my vats? i sent my ecu out to be flashed and he told me he turned it off. but how can i test it? i am not sure if anyone lives around me that can check my ecu or if they can put there ecu on there lt1 set up to test it?

Normally there would be a code present for the fuel enable signal not getting to the PCM from the VATS. Any codes?

Can we assume you are using an LT1 PCM? If so, it really doesn't matter that you put the engine/PCM in an RX7 rather than an F-Body. What you need to read the codes will vary with the year of the PCM, which you haven't included in your post.

At appears this may be a follow-up to an earlier thread dealing with problems of the install, and getting it to run. If so, you might want to provide at least a link to the earlier thread so people will have some idea of what the problem is, and what has been done so far to solve it.

You indicate you replaced the injectors and "it worked"..... what worked? Obviously not the engine, since you say it won't run for more than a few seconds.

I was able to jump the starter and start the car. It would run for a few seconds and die. I assume this is adentical to your problem. The car would then turn off the fuel and i would be out of luck. I bypassed the vats and now the car works fine.

One thing that will shut it down is loss of the low res pulse pattern from the Opti. That would show up as a trouble code in a scan. Not likely, but worth ruling out. Smiilarly, the VATS problem would show up as a code, as Shoebox has already indicated.
