Hey leave the guy alone. I totally agree with everyone else on not replacing a part thats not broken. However way to much of this thread was used to rip him apart. I personally am on here to learn more about my car then how good other peoples grammar is. Also when i am making a post i dont always take the time to make sure im am gramatically correct. For the last comment its not to hard to figure out what the guy ment by his discription. He has a z28 with some SS parts, and he uses two different thermostats. one for the winter one for the summer. Take a little time in reading if you plan on making fun of him for it. Because in the end you look like the a** not him. Lets get back to cars not grammar.

Grammar? What grammar

I agree that sometime we get carried away, but this guy makes himself a target by the way he posts. It's not like it's the first time that people have noticed it, either. I'm not trying to drag the guy down, but you need to be able to explain yourself coherently to get your point across.

I also would like to know where you can get a "peformance" m.a.p sensor. I called Dal and there around 33 bucks. I think I might get mine tested to make sure its still working properly.

One of the beautiful things about this message board, and this country for that matter, I don't have too!

Anyways, that being said, I'll admit I was bit of a "smart azz" about how I said it, but it was 2 am and such a looong sentence, it was hard to read.

I am laughing my *** off cuz i just talked to DMX4eva on the phone last week when i bought a 95Z Bose CD head unit from him.

He really is a nice guy, though he didn't say 'willn't' not once during my 3-4 phone calls with him and the rambling, stream-of-thought commentary is hard, but if you read it faster it's fine, like telepathy unfortunately, i'm not the guy with the answers on this board also your sig should be 4-5 lines

and by the way, the 95 head unit works fine in the 94Z, but it's like double-amplified now, probably supposed to be for the 5-speaker system not my 3-speaker setup. It's not your fault, it's my fault, i knew it was from a 95. Thanks again!

MAP sensor is one of those VERY simple designs that makes a big difference. IMO it is hard to break but if it would you would likely know soemthing is wrong.

looking at a scanner the MAP readings should increase as you press down on the gas. so as TPS %(throttle postion sensor) increases the MAP will get closer and closer to the BAR reading which is the barometric pressure outside at that moment. so WOT the MAP=BAR.. one easy way to check the sensor. basically if your MAP readings dont change with your throttle then its bad.

The 3 and 5 speaker Bose head units are the same.. the difference is in the rear sub, which is where the amplifiers are for the wing speakers..

1. Where is the MAP sensor located ?

2. If it is bad would it ALWAYS give off black smoke at idle, or wait for it to heat up, and then give off black smoke ?

3. Where should the black smoke come from ?
