Just crimp your return line, then check.. lots of pressure good fp.

If your walbro pump is not that old and I am going to assume its not, then I would replace the regulator first.
Fuel pumps are tricky, sometimes they go out all at once and sometimes they slowly die over time. I had an 88 IROC back in the day that would start and run fine but was way down on power, turns out the pump was slowly dieing and putting out less and less pressure.
I really think its your regulator though.
His Walbro pump was installed approx. 1 week ago.

block the return line and see if the FP goes up, iof yes, regulator is bad, if no, probably the ling in the tank between the pump ang the top of the assm.

but no one thinks its the pump. i mean the pump sounds jsut like it always has.

it has happened, but more likely to be the line that hooks to the pump, pinch/block the return line and see what the fuel pressure does
