A.I. 200 h/c 385 track times and dyno

Made it to Dragway 42 in West Salem, OH this past weekend and was able to pull off some good numbers in the camaro. I made 4 passes before I had to leave and my best run was...

1.83 60ft
7.58@94.34 1/8
11.64@122.51 1/4

I was very happy with the way the car was running. All my runs were around high 11's at 121ish. The track temp was around 40 and I think the track elevation is around 1300.
Next spring I am looking to get my 60fts way down. I normally get around a 1.9 which is not where I want to be. I have the M/T street radials, but I would like to bump it up to the street version and make some more changes to the suspension.

The basic setup
A.I. 200cc heads/cam and the street/strip intake
Eagle forged crank/ 6" rods
Mahle powerpaks
12:1 compression
electric water pump
42 SVO injectors
58mm throttle body
Spec 3+
Dynatech LTs (with the cutout open at the track)
Moser 12Bolt w/ 4.11s
As for the weight, I am not sure. It is probably around 3700? It has a cage. The only thing I did to help save weight was removing the spare tire and part of the back seat.

I had it dyno tuned by Brian at pcmforless back in July. It put down 445rwhp and 421rwtq. The only thing added since then is the cutout. The dyno was done at Big Shot Dyno in Hudson, OH.
Here is link to the graph.

Nice times and trap speed for a 1.8x 60'. Hopefully I'll get some times with my new setup within a couple months.

put a slick on it and get it to hook.

im guessing its not a solid roller cam, but how is it on the steet? I know its going to be rough, but how bad? You have a mean *** car, with a real 60ft (like a 1.6,1.5) that would go tens. Than toss on a 150 shot to go 9's.

Thumbs up

These ET's please the SS RRR especially if it truly is a 3700lb car.

May not be as bad as you think. That's one of the wonderful things about displacement.

good MPH.

As mentioned, knock the 60 ft down and the ET's will really get better.

Every car I have had would be 2 tenths fater in the 1/4 for every tenth I knocked of the 60 ft.

A very doable 1.60 would put you in the 11.20 range.

If you have alot of suspension and can get 1.50 60 ft, you could be in the 11.0X range.

wow, that is great numbers. I cant wait to get a dana 60 and new tranny this winter, and see what mine does. I have the AI 190 heads cam and same intake. 6" rods, mahle pistons.. we are pretty close in everything motor-wise! Mine put down 438rwhp and 431 rwtq at the dyno. But, that was through the dyno-queen 10 bolt.
Keep us posted as to the suspension mods and rubber!

That trap speed would sure suggest it would!
