First off this is the LSx tech area. This question belongs in the LTx tech area.
Secondly 93 was the last year that used a ''chip''. You need a tune, handheld tuner, or tuner software/cable/laptop.

Movong this post to LTx tech.

Also, generally people who get tunes can get two kinds

Mail order tune, this tune is an estimated tune some are good, some need word possible vendors..
Madz28
Trifectaperformance
pcm4less
Slew of other companies

Dyno Tunes... $450+ spot on tune if the guy knows what he is doing.

What are we looking at as far as HP increase with a mail order tune and will it play nice once I have a slew of other aftermarket parts on my engine?

Different parts require different programming depending on the "slew of other aftermarket parts" you get. For a bolt-on car, you can get anywhere from 5 to 15HP.

Alright awesome, thanks. Yeah I am looking at Trifecta right now and like what I see. I think it would be wiser to wait to tune until I get the throttle body, heads, and rockers upgraded.

Helpful hint.... when you do this, you are hijacking someone else's thread. Not a good idea.

Haha, sorry! I didn't mean to! I thought it was enough along the same lines as what he was asking. I've modded some big forums before so I should know better. ;( Carry on strongman (epic name, btw).
