Looks ancient, ISKY would be my guess...the plate looks like it has cast lettering on the bottom in the middle.

That's what I thought until I called them, describing the aluminum spool piece. The tech said they never used such a piece only a single spring, although they did cast their name in the center just like the picture.

Well isky does use aluminum adapters on top of the lifters or built into the lifters for their rev kits, this could be a much earlier generation that the tech was not familiar with.

This is an Isky rev kit and 1241LSH lifters that I use all the time and they have the aluminum adapter, with a flat horizontal link bar style lifter that would look almost identical to the OP's picture.

I'm still banking on it being Isky no matter what the phone tech said...what is cast into the plate?

The block shown in the post #1 link is an old (pre-63 at least) SBC 283/327 block, given the internal positive PCV canister, and rear road tube. I know in 63 they used a PCV valve. Man does this bring back memories of my 1st SBC I had is 64.
