Yes it works, and yes it is a good design. You lifters arent going to go anywhere.

Would the hydra-rev keep the lifters firmly in the bores so that a cam swap without removing the intake would be possible?

I have heard only good things about the kit. The larger the cam a person is using the better things they seem to have to say about it. RPM probobly factors in there as well.

I am sold, I will be using it on my build.

No, it helps keeps pressure on the lifters in high rpm conditions.

It actually pushes the lifters on the cam lobes so it wouldn't help on that cam swap. It is cheap insurance though...i've seen guys spend alot more on crap that does absolutely no good whatsever and atleast this does something hehe.

And it's only like $230.

But would it cause increased wear on the cam lobes?

I realize that we're talking about roller lifters, but pressure on the lobes still has to be something of an issue to a certain degree.

Im gonna go with no.
Reasoning is if you think of a solid roller setup the spring pressures are much more than a hyd roller. So you should see a lot of wear on cam lobes on solid roller if that were true. So the extra pressure from a rev kit wouldnt were lobes if the spring pressure from a solid roller setup doesnt.

100 HP from additional pressure on the lifters at high RPMS.....ahhh no. I can understand the benefits of using this kit but where would the extra power come from?

Its not going to gain you power unless you are already loosing power from floating valves, as mentioned above.
