HVAC controls change

Did a search, didn't come up with anything relevant.

What can you guys tell me about changing the hvac controls from a AC unit to a non-AC unit? I understand there are vacuum lines that go to the back of the fan mode selector. What should I do with these? Is this even worth it? Thanks in advance.

while I havent done this before, so maybe someone else will chime in. the vac. lines on the back will be in a bundle that will unplug as one unit. this should be the same since the doors/actuators will be the same. should just swap right on. but at the same time, why change the control unit? you know for a fact it will be fine the way it is. how much weight did you take off? I have my eng. apart right now doin head/cam swap. that looks darn tempting to just take off the pump and leave out the condensor when putting it back together. dont think I'll do that though. I do like the A/C.

That's kind of what I figured about the vacuum lines. I havent looked at the existing controller, so I dont know if it has the same amount of vacuum hook-ups or not.

I'm putting the new controller in because I removed the AC for lots of reasons; save space, its ugly, never use it anyway. Not sure about the weight it took off, but I'm not worried about it either. But really, the way I am building this car, I am not cutting any corners. It would bother the **** out of me if I knew I didn't have AC, yet the controller said it did.
