HVAC Compressor control 1994 Camaro

Recently purchased a 1994 Camaro LT1, air conditioner not working, had regassed but air comp not switching in. Appears that ECM not enabling the air comp relay to switch on. I can get the air comp to switch in by grounding the green/white wire from ECM, then the system works fine, however compressor is switched on permanently besides I want the system to function correctly. Auto electrician who has to rectify the system under warranty suggests he may have to pull dash out to get to an in cabin temp sensor? I think the ECM has triggered a trouble code and is not allowing the comp relay to switch comp on. Im in Adelaide South Australia - Australia (where!) and no one knows these cars here. can anyone help with diagnosing the ECM - im not sure if the service ctr's here have means of reading ECM codes and resetting? Help its damn hot down here!!

After the computer has disabled a/c function because of a problem, it usually has to be reset to allow operation again. Find the PCM BAT fuse in the dash fuse panel and pull it out for about 30 seconds. Put the fuse back and see if that allows a/c function again.
