well the verdict is in

my car was leaking a lil bit of oil the other night and it turned out to be the pan gaasket! well when i pulled the old pan gasket i guess theres like 2 lil shims that are on the back of the oil pan gasket (where the 2 NUTS go on the flywheel end) that are INSIDE the gasket to make it so u dont squash the gasket when you tighten the bolts.. well i guess when i took the old torn gasket out the two lil shims STAYED on the studs and when i put the new gasket in and tightening the nuts, they werent letting the gasket seal all the way cause they were causing it to hang up on the shims so i yanked them off and all is good now! i pulled the tranny also cause the bellhousing was full of oil so i had to clean all that crap out as well

ill post some pics later to better show what im talking about so that next time anyone that puts a pan gasket in wont let this happen to them

lol no no see what happened was when i put my motor together i used a brand new oil pan gasket! well it JUST started to leak 4k miles later! so i took it off LAST NIGHT and the reason it was leaking was it had a tear in it and wasnt sealing nemore! so i put ANOTHER gaSKET on last night and it leaked even worse.. due to the fact that those shims didnt get taken out when i pulled the orginal leaking gasket see what im saying
