First of all yes I know PCformless is better(when I get a cam I will get it or tuner cat ...) but today going into the winter. I want better gas milage.


Would 180 tstat with stock pcm
or 180 with HPPIII tuning

Which would be better fuel milage the first and the 2nd for more performance thanks.

 

The HPP isn't going to affect fuel mileage at all. It diddles with some WOT timing stuff. If you lowered the coolant temp, you might see a small drop in fuel mileage, but staying with the stock 180degF 'stat should not cause any change in mileage. The HPP also doesn't produce much in the way of power gains.... some people have dyno'd with the "power tuning" and found they lost HP.

 

When I did mine it sure helped with the fans & the overheating in traffic Also I did notice better SOP power.

The cable with the GM obi is a parellel printer cable and going to the hpp, can I use that cable to my laptop with tuner cat instead of buying another cable from AKM??? thanks

You can only use a piece of your HPP cable. You will still need to buy the other piece from www.akmcables.com to use the HPP piece.
Get the one "for HPP" from them.
