HP vs. Injector size

Maybe i'm just a dreamer but with the new setup i'm hoping/wishing for 500 to the flywheel. That seems a little to much for the 30 lb. pr hr. Would the 36lb pr hr be to much? And if so is there a way to cut them back? I'm a little new to the mysterious ways of Injectors/size and real hp mods. Thanks guys.

Re: HP vs. Injector size

A good guideline (NA) is to multiply the flywheel HP by 0.07 to get your injector size.

500 x 0.07 = 35#/HR.

That assumes you have a decent, fairly efficient tune, and that you do not want to run above 85% duty cycle.

There is no real downside to an injector that is a bit larger than you need. As long as the PCM is programmed with the correct flow rate and offsets, it adjusts the pulse widths to deliver the required amount of fuel.

34lbs would be good just below 500. 36 would be a good size.
