CantonRacer has the right idea....The key word is torque. F-bodys are heavy, plain and simple.

In the words of Carrol Shelby:

"Horsepower sells cars, torque wins races"

Re: HP needed for mid to low 12's

Should mention my power torque number is 306......how do i increase torque....plus i'm still confused on how i can't get the 320 hp down the track.......besides improving my launches with better suspension mods.....my mph is way down in when you factor in my mods.....i thought.......mph even with poor launch should be around 105-110......i'm leaning towards fuel requirements...bout to change my fuel pump...whats everyones thoughts on the racetronix pump set up.......do i keep stock injectors or change them....what are stock injector sizes anyway....

I'm hitting mid 12's with probably about 300 or so rwhp, but I've got traction and a stall. Its really not that hard. I'm gonna agree with what he said....you shouldn't be looking for 12's

i understand traction and suspension will help my times.......but my mph and 1/4 times seems to indicate mechanical issues not driver or track condition problems.......i always thought you could somewhat read the cars reactions by checking the time slip........bad 60ft and decent mph meant you had a bad launch, no traction, or something at the start line but the decent mph indicates you do have the power to produce good numbers......is that not the case????? sorry for being difficult but trying to learn as i go here.....thanks for the advice......
