how tight to tighten valve covers?

i replaced my gasket on my passenger side valve cover, how tight should bolt it down?

right now its down hand tight with a small cresent wrench, but not nearly as tight as i could get it if i used a bigger tool or put my back into it.

106 in-lbs. But it's not very critical. I don't think I used a torque wrench on them.

If you don't have a tq wrench, just snug them down. You don't want to get gorilla with them because they'll just start caving in the valve cover/possibly messing up the gasket seal. Tighten the inner ones, then the outer ones, then go back and recheck the inner ones, etc. Check them again later as needed.
