How Tight to Tighten Plugs?

I just did a few of my plugs and started the car up and now it seems to have a tick/hiss from where I did one of the plugs. How tight do you tighten them, I worked them on by hand then used a ratched to take them all the way down. They are tight but not over tight, I wasn't pushing crazy hard on the wrench to tighten it down. Car seems to idle and rev up just fine.

Maybe it's not a plug. Sounds like it cold possibly be a header leak from the gasket. The way you tightened them down is fine.

I may agree with the header leak, but it is a new sound I haven't heard till today when I did the plugs so that makes me think it isn't an exhaust leak. Maybe I'm being paranoid, I don't really know. Any other suggestions?

The way I do it on these cars (aluminum head, taper-seat plugs) is finger tight, then another 1/8 to 1/4 turn with a ratchet.

Only 11 lb. ft., so it's not a lot.
