How are these mods?

On a 1994 Z28 A4, granatelli MAF, SLP TOTL, K&N FIPK, Edelbrock headers and y-pipe, Crane 210/224 cam, springs, 1.6 rockers, and a 3000 stall from TCI. Can I expect somewhere around 320rwhp? and whereabouts in torque? I know most of you dislike these expectation things, but im shooting for 320ish rwhp, and was wondering if that was enough. Or if any of you possibly have any better suggestions than those specific parts, maybe a company with a better product for similar price. Any help is appreciated. Maybe a DIY P+P on my heads, but thats doubtful.

1. Forget about the MAF, stocker is more than enough
2. SLP TOTL, and K&N FIPK is good
3.) Edelbrock Headers are so so, and have proven to net anount respectul gains. If you can afford an extra $100, go with MAC midlenghts.
4.) Cam is way too small, go with the hotcam if you are concerned about driveability. Our 96Z has one, and it drive quite nice.

The mods about should net about 330-340 RWHP

Well im not terribly worried about drivability, although it will be a daily driver. I was looking at Frank95Z's results with the 210/224 and thought I might be able to get close to that? I know he ran an 11.4? I just want to hit mid 12's N/A, or even high 12's, but at this moment 12's is my goal, and Im sure when I get there, there will be a new goal. Do I really have to touch the heads do get consistent 12's, in the mid range. I know I see alot on this site that people get into the 12's on the hotcam , but other people with bigger cams, or smaller cams, usually go slower, but some people go way fast with no real explanation. If my set-up isn't any good, what can I do to get into the mid twelves N/A consistently? Eventually I am going to touch the heads, but initially they are going to stay stock. My goals are to demolish all my friends, except my one friend with this 4-banger (Tiburon, quad throttle bodies, direct-port nitrous... , went 15.0 with a 35 shot all stock. ) He also has a 71 Mach 1, which he is fully restoring with a 460 in it. Taking him in the Chevelle turned to American Muscle, although the wrong side Any help would greatly be appreciated.

This will get you in the 12's easy.......

-hotcam kit $509 from Comp Cams, maybe cheaper from places like Scoggin Dickey Performance Center.

-headers (prefarable long tubes), but Hooker shorties, MAC midlenths, Edelbrocks are good choices. $350-$600 coated.

- A nice 2800+ stall converter, preferably from PI or a Midwest. $400-$750.

- 3.73 rear end. $200, + $200-$300 installation

- a nice of sticky tires.

It should net out to about 330-340 RWHP with top of the line components and get you consistent mid 12 second time slips. When you are ready to touch the heads, low 12's second slips are not far behind. There are some that have gone high 11's with a hotcam/ported heads f-bod.

Good Luck

pass on the MAF for sure. total waste of money.

cam is a matter of choice. that cam is VERY small and u prolly arent going to be happy with it. a 218/224 is a decent daily driver cam and the 224/230 cam is an EXCELLENT cam. either will be a very good cam for daily use with 1.6 RR's

id pass on the edelbrock headers and get some Jet Hot Long Tubes or Hooker Long Tubes

and a decent CAI. this will definately net u 320RWHP+ with a good tune.

MAF's are a waste of money, your computer get used to it real quick, i might go with a lil biger cam, other than that, i would guess 330ish hp at the wheels.

Mustangmuncher,
I'm looking at a similar setup as you. I'm waiting to put in a Yank SY3500 and plan on getting the 210/224 this summer to go with the rest of my goodies. I plan on mid 12's. Maybe better with better suspension/traction.
The 210/224 matches the stock heads of the LT-1 very well. This mild cam provides a broad torque curve as opposed to some larger cams that will have higher max HP and max torque, but they tend to have peaky torque curves.

How doesthis dyno look to you? Note STD hp/tq, ->343 SAE.

Not sure what cam exactly, but it is one of the following I took from another post re: zz3, cc502, and 210/224.
