how to test guage cluster
how to test guage cluster
I have a 93 z28 and my speedo has never worked (bought it used). I have tried changing the VSS and it didnt help. The entire guage cluster works execpt for the speedo. Previous owner said that the speedo worked on and off, but I have never seen it work. Is there a way to test the cluster? Also, the car will throw an SES code of 24, which is related to the vss. Any Ideas?
thanks
thanks
Re: how to test guage cluster
ok, does anyone know where the wires from the vss go? I am pretty sure it goes straight to the ecu, but what pin? I checked shoebox's website, but couldnt find any reference.

Brown connector "D"
Pin
D1=VSS ground (purple)
D8=VSS output to cluster (dark green/white)
D12=VSS signal (yellow)
A problem with any of these can cause a DTC 24.
