how to tell uf water pump is bad?
how to tell uf water pump is bad?
like the title says? racing the car at 140mph and the water pump elbow blow off the water pump and by the time i was able to slow down and shut the car off it stalled out on me from being so hot. replaced the head gaskets and had head work done for my blower. replaced the temp gauge sensor on the head. i have 160 stat, electric fan switch, computer tune for temp also. had the car running for like 20mins outside on a like 65-70 degree day and the temp gauge still showed like 218, or whatever it is just below the readline of the temp gauge. i'm on vacation so i forget. before it use to always be way down on 165-170. i put enough 50/50 mix in the car and no coolant lights ever came on... so whats up? is water pump bad? other temp sensoron the water pump bad and sending a false signal to the temp gauge sensor or something?
Re: how to tell uf water pump is bad?
running 8psi from my s-trim also forgot to say and my alky kit wasn't hooked up while the car was running in the drive. but i doubt the blower would have made the car that hot? 20mins stand still shouldn't ??
