How To Tell If My Car Has 3 or 4 Channel ABS?

Question How To Tell If My Car Has 3 or 4 Channel ABS?

How can I tell? Also what is the difference between the two? Thanks.

If you have traction control it should be 4-channel.

I was under the impression that the 93-97 cars had 3 channel and the 98-02 cars had 4 channel.

No.

As stated above, the ABS only cars have 3-channels... a sensor on each front wheel hub, and one on the top of the differential housing. The traction control cars have 4 sensors, 2 in the front, and one on the end of each rear axle. Doesn't matter whether its a 93 or a 2002.... abs only = 3-channel, traction control = 4-channel.
