LMAO at the title of the thread....

But ya, having it welded up will be the only 'repair' but alot of shops will suggest you just buy a used head.

Used LT1 heads can usually be had for $250/set. But a good shop can fix it. Usually.

Have it welded. How about:

Lake Norman Engineering

D.O.A. Racing Engines

Aren't they nearby?

There's always DEI.

Forget DEI. Even if they would, you probably couldn't afford them!

If you aren't putting holes in stuff now and again, you either aren't trying, or have some magical castings with no core shift .

It depends on what you did really. In all likelyhood, it can be fixed by having it welded. After it's welded however, you really need to pressure check the head again, b/c if your work is consistent, you've likely gotten too thin elsewhere as well. That and leaks can be a PITA at times when cracks or porosity come into play.

You'll also probably end up having to replace that guide & hone it to size - depending on where exactly you're welding.

Isn't porting fun .

Why screw around with welding your head. Just get some more heads and consider it a learning experience. Now you can mess with your old heads and gain even more expertise. JMHO
