The shaft is stuck onto my old optispark and my reman a1 cardone doesn't come with a new shaft. I've removed the middle section where the shaft and bearing meet but it just won't budge.

 

Must be rusted on, mine comes off easily. Use some krol oil, not cheap, but is the best thing I have found for loosening up rusted parts. It is keyed on both ends, so line it up and it will slide in.

I would try soaking it in PB BLASTER..if that dont work,I have a few extra shafts laying around..15.00 shipped...just be careful you dont damage the splines.

 

Cardone is sending me a new one for free. So if I can't get it unstuck I'll still be ok.
