how to remove a/c from 93 z28?

I pulled out the condenser, compressor and all the other crap. Then, I did a search and see that people are running a a/c delete pulley. How does this work (i.e. what does it bolt onto) (pictures would be nice). Do I really need a pulley there.. can't I just buy a smaller belt and eliminate that pulley all together?

Look at the routing diagram for the serpentine belt, and then the front of the engine, and you will understand why you can't just run a shorter belt. The "1LE" A/C delete pulley comes mounted on a bracket that bolts to the holes where the compressor would normally bolts. There were two different A/C clutch pulley diameters, so some people have to get a different belt length even with the delete pulley, and others use the stock belt.
