Question how is my car performing?

I'm just curious if my car is performing how it should be.. with what I have listed in my sig. and stock injectors, I ran dead even with a 03 Z06 "6k milage on odom" up to about 140. Is this respectable? How much are these injectors holding my motor back? I'm looking at getting some 36 or 42s soon. How much a dif would bigger injectors and some 4.11s make? Thanks for any input.

what are your thoughts on the injectors? how bad is it killing the top end? if I remember right, one of my datamaster logs showed them maxing at only 5400 rpm

yes you need injectors!!! 410's are the $hit!!! you will not regret either mod. Get both of them and show that z06 some tail lights!

i think injectors would definitley help, but with 4.10's or 4.11's you wont get near the top end your getting now. i heard top speed is around 115 with 4.10s and a siz speed. way to go on the vette tho. very impressive.

115? that's not right. check oyt this page http://pw1.netcom.com/~sgalaba/mph.htm

in 5th you'll do about 148 at 6000 and in 6th 167 at 4500.. not sure if it would have the power to accelerate any faster in 6th.. maybe

So basically you'll never run low 12's/ 11's with 4.10's

ahh, I'm sorry.. I see what you meant now.. you'll be turning some revs through the traps or have to shift just before with the 4.10/11s

Well, thats not true, You need to really rev the 306...and thats the cam ya got right? heck with 4.10's you should still be able to do about 120 at 6500....and your not maxxed out either. Most guys with the 306 shift at like 6800+/-. Go 4.10's and don't look back!!

Re: how is my car performing?

Your injectors are not holding you back any. I am running stock injectors with zero problems and run times in my sig. I have done back to back test about 1 1/2 yrs ago going from 12.00's@113mph stock heads and injectors to 30#'s SVO's and the car ran identical times even the PCM was recalibrated so there is no gain from swapping injectors until your making upwards of 480FWHP N/A. I smoked an 04 ZO6 from a 15-20mph roll untill 120mph where he was about 3-4 lengths back I shut down at about 6k rpms in 3rd gear. So I would say you may need a dyno tune. The 4.10's wouldn't hurt either with that 6speed. Later Clint
