to install an lt4 cam kit and lt headers

 

I'd guess about 1500 plus the cost of the parts.

 

I was quoted at $1800 for heads/cam and manifold... if everything went smoothly

 

damn basic motor rebuild cost $1800 lol but cam and heads and manfoilds cost the same damn

 

I'd say do it yourself if you can. I am seeing all these costs to do these things and I am almost amazed.

 

I didn't want to get raped for the install so I found a buddy to supervise me. I gave him 120 bucks to help me put the cam and rockers and springs in. It was a great experience. It wasn't nearly as hard as I thought. Toughest part for me was putting the water pump shaft seal in. I kept ripping them.
