How Much Should the RPM's Bounce?

I just bought a 93Z with a Comp cam 227/233 .560/.569 and Pro-Magnum 1.6 Roller Rockers. The computer has been done by PCMforless. After it comes to operating temp, and it sits at idle for a minute or two, the RPM's start surging from 600-900, not real fast like Ive seen high performance carb'd engines do, but not extremely slow. This is normal for that size cam?

Im just getting use to the car and the things it dose and the sounds it makes, so I'll prolly have more questions in the next few weeks

Questions like this should be posted in "LT1 Engine Tech" for the best responses, not in "Advanced Tech". I'll move it for you.....

Mabey its just searching for an idle?? No SES light or stalling. If thats all it is, what can fix it?

Throttle blades been opened?
Sounds like your IAS motor needs cleaning because it can't adjust quick enough.
