How much for an OBDI scanner for a '95 Z28?

Hopefully, Autozone has one and can just ****ing hook up to my computer.

If you have a laptop you can always just buy the cable and download a free scanning software, thats what I did. Plus you get to read all your sensors and make sure everything is performing right.

Which cable should I buy? Isn't the connection OBDII, but really an OBDI?

I got a cable from www.akmcables.com Works great (I use Freescan, btw).

You need to get the OBDI cable with the OBDII style connector

they sell one on ebay for like 40 bucks. thats what im gonna go with. I have freescan as well, but no cable. -Michael

I went through www.akmcables.com for my OBD1 cable. AKM cables are only OBD1 compatible from what I understand. However, they do make cables for models with the OBD2 connector, as long as the car you're interfacing with is still OBD1.
