How much hp gain?

I have a 95 firehawk with the ram air, slp exhaust, and m6 (315 flywheel hp).
I put a K&N filter and airfoil on it and it dyno at 257hp and 303tq to the wheels. I put a gran maf on and it dyno 275hp and 317tq to the wheels but the a/f ratio was in the high 13 range which according to the guy is to high for a stock car. I just purchased a set of mid length AS&M headers with the dual cat ypipe (single cat from factory), crank/alt pulleys, comp pro mags 1.6 rr with all the upgrade valvetrain hardware. The car is all original with 15,600 miles on it and my question is how much hp gain will I get with these new mods? After all the mods are installed he is going to do the comp tuning to get the a/f ratio to around 12.5 and advance the timing. I was thinking:

dyno 275hp
pulleys 8hp
1.6rr 10hp
AS&M 15hp
tuning 10hp
total 318hp to the wheels

Realistic or just wishful thinking?

What tuner recommended the Grantatelli maf?

Every tuner I've ever heard of wants stock MAF's as they are no where near a hindrance to airflow.

Who knows---however, I would hesitate to count on dyno numbers with that MAF---it might just be a temporary gain, like leaning it out by adjusting the fuel pressure downward.

So the 18 you got with the G MAF might not hold up. Given that possibility, you wind up with around 300 RWHP rather than the 318. Having said this about that, 300 RWHP is very nice indeed and should do very nicely against a stock LS1, and probably kick its A$$ out of the hole with some hook and with the 300 to the rear be waiting at the finish line for the LS to arrive. No one recommended the gran maf, I bought it without knowing what the maf actually does(basically tricking the comp). He said lthat he wanted to see if he can tune it with it on but if he can't then we are going to put the stock back on and he said that he thinks he could get me the 15-18hp that the gran maf gave me. Which would put me around 308hp at the wheels. My goal is to get between 310-320 at the wheels which is pretty good without opening up the engine.

I don't believe your goals are unreasonable. Every little thing can add up, although sometimes it detracts, or makes no difference at all. One needs to listen to what results others have been able to get plus what you might experience on a chassis dyno ----bearing in mind that the dyno doesn't mean much. For instance, unless you have the thing sitting on a dyno all the time as you change parts out and tune, and the conditions, ie. temp, pressure, etc. do not change one iota, you can't really predict exactly what your true number are.

So what' left, but SOP or the track. And the track might not be repeatable consistantly, but the MPH in the 1320 with a good take off should put you in the ball park. I.e, bench racing is for pu$$ies. I don' know what that makes me since I don't bench race and I'm gun shy when it comes to the track. Pehaps a Wu$$y. JMHO
