according to everyone I talked to the 2 bolt can handle alot more than its given credit for. With studs insted of bolts it can handle about 500RWHP I told my machineist i was going to be running a 150 shot on my 383 and he said the 2 bolt mains would be fine.

I asked Nick at Nu-Tek this and he said he's only seen 2-bolt caps fail once, and that was on a circle track motor that was accidentally running 60* of advnce and the cap cracked. Apparently the'yre not a common point of failure.

If it's worth it to you, no one can tell you otherwise.

Can't you swap the two bolt to a four bolt for under $300, by buying new caps or something?

You can have the 2-bolt main splayed to a 4-bolt main. I have no idea on the cost.
