how many quarts of trans fluid do i put in a 460le? thanks

 

just the pan if so around 4 to 5 if you are filling the tc also about 7

 

When I put in my new tranny and TC it took 12 quarts, that is with a B&M tranny cooler plumbed in as well.

 

when i dropped the pan in my old 93 i added 4.5 quarts.

 

All depends whether you drain it or flush it.

When I pulled my old auto tranny I dropped the pan, got about 5 quarts out of that, but got a lot more to leak out of the valve body just by sitting there for a minute or two and wiggling the shift lever. You'll also see some come out of the radiator if you're pulling the lines.
