How many quarts of oil for a Wix 51069 oil filter?

1995 Z28 M6

How many quarts of oil for a Wix 51069 oil filter? I'm going from AC Delco to Wix and making sure I still need 5 quarts or do I need 6? Thanks!

51069 is the short filter....
51060 is the taller filter....

On the 51069 I use 4.5 quarts, and the 51060 uses 5 quarts...

5 qts has always been what I use the 51069 (same as NAPA Gold 1069 and same size as old AC-Delco PF25) and it is the perfect full level on my dipstick.

I'm with this gent, as far as the filter and and the amount of oil needed for each.

The dipstick has a full mark on it. When you change the oil, you fill the filter before installing it and then fill the oil pan to just below the full mark on the dipstick. That's why they put it (the mark) there.

For some odd reason, the owner's manuals range from 4.5-5 quarts from 93-97, but have never been 5.5 quarts.
