How many quarts of oil with PF1218 filter??

Do I need more than 5 quarts? It's a tad longer than the original PF25. I also have a blower but I was told that it did not use much oil... Ehh whats the consensus here?

I don't remember exactly but I think it's 5 qts. It's not really that much bigger than stock, maybe 1/3 qt.

I use the K&N HP3002 oil filter, which is the same size as the PF1218, and I run 5.25 qts of oil.

Why guess, or go by what someone else does? Fill the filter before you install it. Fill the crankcase, and check the level. Bring it up to the "full" line. Run the engine, warm it up and check for leaks at the filter. When you shut it down, wait 15 minutes and check the level again. That will tell you exactly what you need.
