Would like to know how many of you guys have hit 450 RWHP N/A with ported Lt1 casted heads. For those of you who want to argue the meaning of N/A, i am talking no boost, no juice. Mainly just looking for people with stock bottom or say a 355 but you with more cubes are welcome to jump in too. Those of you that have, if you want to tell a little about your setup, how high you turn the engine and ET's, i'm all ears.

The only ones that I can recall around that number are using AFRs.

 

Im pretty sure SAR2K hit that mark with Lt1 castings but not positive. Im sure there are a few others out there. If so let me know.

the most ive seen on stock cast LT1 heads is 385rwhp, and that's with a solid roller.

 

I did 439 on race gas through the ported stock heads, 9" and 4.71 gears. SAR2K hit the 450 mark. Most people at that level are running a AFR heads.

 

LE3 heads (ported stock LT1 heads) + LE3 cam, with all bolt-ons, good tune, etc is supposed to be ~410-430rwhp

 

Just nice to know what the highs are for lt1 castings. Maybe its a good thing that SAR2K was the one who ported my intake for me. I dont think i will be able to hit 450 but im gonna try my best to get as close to that as i can. Afterall its all in the combination and getting the combination to work together and i think im heading down the right track. If anyone else has hit that mark, please post it up.

Im sure Steve Quinn has probably made more than 450rwhp. His car has ran a 9.713@138.16 with a 370ci LT1 and ported factory LT1 casting heads. Back when the car was just a heads/cam/stock bottom end setup he ran a 10.5 at 130. Both of these were naturally aspirated of course.

Also one of Joe Overtons customers made 452rwhp with stock ported heads.

what kind of numbers are you expecting when you get your new bre proram topped engine done? I would expect it to be around there.

Hmm I have high hopes, I have much more in the engine than just the unique intake...

But i'm not a talker, we will just have to wait and see.

 

Fair enough. How is the engine coming along? do you have a projected finish date yet?
