I didn't have to modify my floorpan when I installed longtubes(mine are hookers) but I do notice either my collector or y pipe is smacking the bottom of my car when I give it hell.

I have Hookers, but supposed Jet Hots are near exactly copies of Hookers. I didn't have to do anything of the sort to fit my headers in. In fact, they went in fairly easily. You shouldn't have to modify your car to fit your headers. Do a search on this topic, though. I seem to remember some clearance issues with Jet Hots awhile back.

Didn't have to do a thing. Maybe your motor mounts are shot?

The header fits, and will most likely rub the floor board, its just a bit close for my comfort.... Plus I bet when the car is at WOT the header will bang on the floor board.

Just wondering: If the Motor Mounts were shot would the motor Sit higher or lower that if they were good?

the motor would sit lower but that angle could make the header flange closer to the floorpan but doesnt sound too likely, if you had a bad motor mount you'd probably notice a bad vibration at WOT.

mine were very close 1/4 inch maybe so I did bend floor some to make 1/2 in room. only 40,000 miles so I do not think my mounts are worn?
