how many optis have you guys been through??

Just one, it was still going real strong, but a water pump shower killed it. Any case it lasted 10 years, 53K miles. I think would have gone a lot longer.

I got a carfax repot on my car and it says that my opti was replaced at around 55,000, along with the intake gasket leak...A very cool suprise to me to know that i wont have to worry about the two for a while. My car now has 106,000 on it, and runs like a champ.

Mine just went out at 90,000 (un-vented), and I am in the process of installing a new one.

my first opti had probably 70k on it and i just replaced the thing when i started to get codes but it never got bad enough to start missing.

maybe if you are going thru so many optis the problem is in the harness plug not having good contact or the way it is installed.

This is such a bitch, I JUST did a thread regarding MY woes with the Opti-F#$k.

165K right now:

Replaced factory Opti & waterpump @ 60K

Had cap & rotor replaced & waterpump @ 141.5K

Now 165K, & I don't know if I can get away with another cap & rotor, or a brand new Opti...
