how many miles on your LT1
Re: how many miles on your LT1
I have almost 155k on mine now.
I have changed the opti and the waterpump and put some new sensors in just because but the car runs great and went 13.4 at 104 last year.
Thats just the engine, most everything else has been replaced or rebuilt at one time or another.
The longest trip I ever made was Long Haul on Power Tour 99, Kansas City to San Bernadino california to Nashville Tenn. about 2400 miles.

Re: how many miles on your LT1
I bought mine new in March of 95, now it has 212,000 and still running but leaks a lot. it still gets 25mpg driving to work and back, 29 on trips. Never had the valve covers off but I did replace the opti at 90000 (didnt need it, turned out to be bad air pump) and the water pump twice, ring gear 3 times, original clutch.

Re: how many miles on your LT1
>105K
original opti (knock on wood)
only a head gasket blew at 55K, other than brakes, oil, plugs, wires kinda stuff
never took it to the track, never abuse it and it should last me a long time now as it only sees maybe 3 to 5K a year.
pretty original except chip, K&N air filter, under drive, 10 thou off of heads and exhaust system.
only thing I would like to try is a stock rebuild with a some NO2 for playing.
Nice to see some higher miles on the LT1 as due to the nature of this board we usually here about the problems.

Re: how many miles on your LT1
69,000 miles, and I ordered the car new. Never touched the engine until 52,000 miles, which was 6 years later. Then the modding began. Only repair has been the water pump at 40,000 miles. My car runs great, better than the day I bought it,
and my average gas milage over the 8 years I've owned it is 20.5 mpg. Doesn't burn a drop of oil, as far as I can tell, between 4000 mile oil changes.

Re: how many miles on your LT1
"172K. New tranny, 3rd opti.
Uses no oil and gets 24mpg with an a4.
Track times this spring!"
UPDATE!!
Got a chance to go the track today. 118 miles to the track. Signed tech card, checked oil and hotlapped a 14.23@ 96.1 with a 2.036 60'. Only mods are a CAI and flowmaster muffler, not even a catback! This was on street tires. This car has never been to a track. Me and my friend could'nt stop laughing.
