HOLY COW! Your putting down 387rwhp with stock heads through a 12 bolt?! Thats awsome! Id like to do it with my CC306 but Im doubting thats going to happen. But who knows, maybe a custom grind is in my future. Thanks for the reply.

Re: How many 11.9 sec cam and bolt-on LT1s are out there?

I know Frank (12SCNDZ) went 12.0's on a cc305 and bolt-ons but I think he had some headwork too. But considering the size of the cc305 I would say that's pretty good...

Re: How many 11.9 sec cam and bolt-on LT1s are out there?

1SlowFormula, What MPH is 12SCNDZ turning? I was pushing 112mph with a very weak opti and bogging pretty bad off the line cause of my 3.23s. I just replaced the opti and Im in the process of building an 8.8 for my car with 4.10s. Im also going to order some 1.6 full roller rockers and maybe an underdrive pulley and possibly a 52mm or 58mm t-body. Im hopeing to gain a MPH or 2 from these few mods. If I can turn 114mph I know 11.9 is possible. My car isnt that heavy either (3310lbs curb weight). My main problem I need to over come is my horrable launch. I have to drive the car off the line like Im going to get groceries or it boggs horrably. I launch at 2500-3000rpm and I have to drop the clutch pretty hard sence I have the SPEC4. My usual 60 foot is 2.00-2.10 on my slick BFG drag radials at 18-20psi. If I launch it any harder is boggs hard and takes longer to recover. If I can get my 60 foots down into the 1.6s an 11.9 isnt far behind. Thanks again guys.

That sounds alot like my friends setup in his 94 B4C but he is running a Vig 3200. His best is 12.44@110 with a 1.71 60".

His MPH was 112, and I looked up his site because I wasn't sure if his heads were done, and they were... http://www.geocities.com/max_wylde/9...fications.html

He ran the 12.0 on 4.10 gears, but backed it down to 3.73's pulled a little timing to spray the car, and dropped to 12.2's and 12.3's on motor...

Re: How many 11.9 sec cam and bolt-on LT1s are out there?

Yup...I went 12.0 @ 112 with a 1.67 60 ft. time with a full weight, stock suspension, stock 95,000 mile bottom end '93 Z. This was with a 9.5" 3800 stall converter, and 4.10 gears...on 26"x11.5" ET Streets. The cam is a CC305 with less port work (on the heads) than I had originally thought. Brian (PROJECTZ28) is running 11.8 with stock bottom end, and stock heads with a CC305. Just switching to 3.73's slowed mine down to a 12.2.

I am a 6 speed hot cam, ported stock heads, 3.73's.. and went 12.86 at109 on street tires spinning badly (2.4 60').. 9" with 4.30's is going in with drags and im hoping for 12.0ish with a lot better 60'. Im also installing wet kit.... so 11's are for sure in my LT1's future

Re: How many 11.9 sec cam and bolt-on LT1s are out there?

12SCNDZ, 12.0@112 give me some hope! DO you have any idea of what RWHP numbers you are putting down? Im really hopeing I can get my car to 60 foot like yours. But with a 6-speed that may be alittle more difficult than I think. Im in the process of building an 8.8 with 4.10s so I hope that will be enough gear to get me 60 footing well. Ill also be running a 26x10.5x16 E/T street once I get a real rear end. Thanks guys for all your replys!!

Re: How many 11.9 sec cam and bolt-on LT1s are out there?

Dang! 367rwhp thats pretty dang good! I hope Im somewhere in that area if I ever get mine to a dyno. Would my engine still be considered stock if I freshed it up but useing only stock replacement parts? AND kept the compression 10.4:1? I see alot of guys who say there engine is stock but Im sure some of the have been rebuilt befor. Shoot Ill probably just find me another stock LT1 shortblock from an impala or caprice and stick my aluminum heads on it so I can save my original engine. Sorry for the rambleing, I just have alot of ideas running around in my head right now. Thanks again guys.
