MY LT's hang about 1" lower than the rest of the car. I haven't had any scraping issues though. The car is the stock height.

I have had mine on for 3-4 weeks now, and I have NO clearance problems what so ever. I have Jet-Hots.
that will be great, takes some pics close and far away from your car

arent flp's tucked in there tighter than the hooker l/t's? i've read that they are rather close to the underside of the car, to the point where they rattle against it... i forget who wrote about it, but they said to weld a valvespring to the y-pipe so it always puts positive pressure against the underside of the car, eliminating the rattling... if i had the loot, flp's would be for me...

It depends on the roads in your area as well.
I have an Eibach drag launch kit and Hooker LTs, my mufflers hit sometimes but they are the lowest point.
The roads in and around my immediate area are really good, missouri roads on the other hand SUCK bad.
I had my beater over there today and there were more than a few spots where I was thinkin "Man, If I was in the camaro I would have flattened the collectors on that bump."
My opinion is don,t put LTs on a lowered car if you drive it everyday.
If its a weekend warrior then you might be able to live with it.

I have LTs. Mine have never scraped. My exhaust scrapes if i hit a speedbump at high speeds or on horrid roads. I had my cat still on the catback when I put on the driver side header. It sat perfectly level with the cat when I lowered the engine. I remeber reading about how the condition of the stock engine mounts is another problem some have had. Once they replaced the mounts they were fine.

To be honest, I don,t like shortys but if I was building a corner carver that was lowered and such, I would put some 1 3/4 shorty headers on so I would not have to worry about ground clearance..
Nothing is quite as stomach wrenching as hitting a dip in the road you did not know was there at speed and feeling that jarring wrench when you hit the exhaust.

If you want good 1 3/4 mid-lengths, try the ASM headers. Very high quality workmanship, good power gains and you'll never scrape. Plug access is better than the SLP's, but not quite as good as long tubes. The RKsport mid-lengths are clones of the ASM headers, but the coating isn't as nice.

I have some pics of my Jet Hots at stock height in my sig. They are almost the same height as the rest of the car. I've never scraped them, though I scrape my cat and y-pipe all the time.
