How long does it take your LT1 to peg the speedo?

I usually never dive this fast, but where I live there are numerous miles of open blacktop backroad. I was leaving my parents house (waay out in the country) and this road is straight and flat for several miles with a nice smooth blacktop.

I started from a 20 mph float and within 1/2 of a mile I had the speedo pegged. I feel like when the car was stock it took a few miles to do this, am I right?

I have done it once, coming back from the track. I went from about 25 mph. It only felt like it took about 15 seconds. I could be wrong. It was a fun ride

150 on a public road isn't as great of an idea as what you two are thinking.
