Anyone have Pacesetter Longtubes???

Just wanted to know what you guys think of them. The headers and also if the Y-pipe is any good.

They are so cheap it is hard to resist. You can get the headers AND y-pipe on ebay for almost the same price as just a set of Hookers.

I want to know if any of you switched from shorties over to these and if you felt any real power gains.

Thanks.

I love mine.....install was a breeze. All I had to modify was an A/C line which needed some bending but that's common. No motor jacking or anything like that....and the gains are awesome. I went from 13.6@101 in 50 degrees to 13.4@103 in 80 degrees

Did you go from stock manifolds to the Pacesetters or from shorties to the longtubes???

seen a few on LT1's and havent heard much complaint. The LS1 guys seem to like em too.

my buddy has them on his 98 Z and he has no complaints. they do tend to rub on the k-member a little though.

but you cant beat the price!!!!

take this for what u will, i dynoed 264 rwhp 298 rwtq on an 80 degree day, changed nothing except pacesetter LTs and y pipe and left it open after the y and put down 291.0 rwhp 324.4 rwtq on a 97 degree day, i think the numbers speak for themselves

brent94z, did a nice photo comparison from every angle, and also weighed them.

his conclusion: pacesetters seem to be better than hookers pretty much across the boards. this was done through visual inspection of materials used, craftsmanship, etc.

of course 1 header might dyno .3 hp more than the other some might say. well i would consider them equal for now. ill be ordering coated pacesetter LT in just a short while, ill keep you guys posted.

oh also--installation is supposed to be much easier with pacesetter. hooker better step it up a little or drop their price

From what I hear the ground clearance is as good as it gets for LTs, I am planning on getting a set of these coated soon :-)
