1 hour w/ AS&Ms

If i had stock manifolds, I'd sell the car if I had to change plugs

With the FLP's I can do mine in 30 minutes including dropping the starter to get 6 & 8, not including time to pull the alternator. Probably 1 hour total start to finish if I am not in a big hurry.

I just changed mine for the first time and it took me about a day to do it. I have the stock manifolds on it. It helps if you have skinny arms unlike me!! I didnt remove anything, just got lots of scrapes, grease, and cursing. But it should be alot easier for the next time.

I'm sure the times will get lower and lower as you get more replies to this post....

Honestly, it was the first thing I did on a 4thgen. Took me half a day to do wires and plugs the first time. I can probably do it in under 2 hours now....(stock manifolds)... less with the long tubes.
first time 4 hours, but i could do it in probably 45 minutes now that i know all the tricks... now i got headers and i could see em all and get to em all... so its probably 30 minutes

Re: How long does it take YOU to change your spark plugs?

If you use the right tools you should be able to do it in about 2 hours.

Plug socket with the hex, a socket that will fit that hex, short extension short handled (flex head) 3/8 drive ratchet and a lot of patience.

My first go at it when I first got my F Body I did did plugs, and compression in under three hours. In fact it is time now to change my plugs again.

Pacesetter LT's ....

Driver's side.. 10minutes
Passenger side... Maybe 30minutes. It's easier to get 6 & 8 if you unbolt the starter from the block.

i have jethot longtubes.

i can change the driver side and first two passenger side plugs in about 30 mins.

the rear two passenger side plugs means i have to jack the car up, get underneath, remove the started. this takes about an hour.

exactly, that's pretty much how long it takes me

and in those 30 min for the passenger...that's also jacking the car, and putting it on jackstands to get to 6 & 8
