i recharged mine, and i did let it dry for a good 20 mins to a half hour. I installed it and drove around for a bit. When i came out to my car the next morning, i noticed a red puddle sitting below where the air filter is. Obviously i oiled it too much. I wasnt too worried cuz i thought that the oil couldnt get sucked into the intake, but on one of the earlier posts someone said it could. Could the oil cause any real damage? Should i be worried?

thanks,
trav

I think the only real problem is that it can coat the MAF wire. I'm going to clean my filter and oil it, then clean the MAF wire with electrical component cleaner, very carefully.

You could check if you sucked up any fluid by wiping the ducting inside with a clean paper towel, and see if you end up with oil on the towel.
