i drove around for a few hours stop and go for about 2 days. then i jumped on it. everyone says there is no break in for the cam, just the new springs if you installed any.

enjoy!

For a roller cam you do NOT need break in time, all you may want to do is dont run hard so your oil can collect particles that my have entered your engine from the install, but then change it after like 100 miles or so then feel free to rape the hell out of it. Also for the first while just to start the cam on its wear patterens, when at a stop light or what ever dont let it idle in the same place. and when you cruise dont let the cam stay in one place for the first 100 miles. But even if you romped on it from the second it was in, it wouldnt be bad.

umm the springs actually break in real fast due to the fact the get compressed so many times every time you drive your car, so i woould say with in the first 100 miles of your oil cleaning the springs should be well broken in.

That is pretty accurate, especially what was said about idle. i would generally pop it in neutral and tap the gas to vary the RPMs between 600 and 1500. (Before custom tuning) I would say by the 200 miles mark, the cam and the springs and rockers etc. will be seated properly. After that change the oil, and ur ready to rock
