If you know your cams rated range go 250-500 rpm above it by holding the throttle in i.e 1600-4600 go 2000 if the tires can hold it!! When I dragged my 76 I used to hold the e-brake in to stop the tires from letting go it was a pain in the dairyair but I stayed consistent at 10.3@127 to 10.6@124. Practice where you won't get busted and just choose your own method, and take your front stabilizer bar off and set your camber to -1 degree in the rear so the tires will bite better.
